  • First and Only LEED Platinum certified automobile manufacturing plant in the world
  • Solar Park with 33,000 solar panels on 66 acres, capacity of 9.5 MW
  • Advanced painting process reduces CO2 emissions by 20 percent in the Paint Shop
  • Eco Dry Scrubber Systems in the Paint Shop eliminates water consumption of 20,000 gallons per day.
  • Insulation of plant walls with 6-inch mineral rock wool panel reduces building energy consumption by 35 percent.
  • Reuse of rainwater for cooling and restrooms saves up to 650,000 gallons of water per year.
  • Protected wetlands and habitats for native vegetation are on-site.
  • Specially designed white roof reduces “heat island effect” by reflecting heat from the sun.
  • Shipping 85 percent of completed cars by rail reduces diesel emissions and road traffic.
  • Over 90% of the logistics vehicles are powered by Hydrogen fuel cells with plans to convert the existing fleet in the near future.
